media' role

in today's news paper i read a new of a 6 yr old girl brutaly beaten up by police for stealing Rs 280, media covered the event and video was shown to the people now a few people say that media people just keeps on covering the deadly events and sees the people even dieing in front of them, people say that media should stop them, from doing harm to themselfs but in my view media has the responsibility to inform people not to react. if media persons will leave the camera and pen and just will keep on stoping the people from doing some harmful or any other things then media will not survive and journalists are responsible people, i think that they definately help people of being aware and responsibe towards sensitive issues.and thus unites the people of the country towards a good cause. journalists are not responsible for stoping anyone... where the protecters of people "police" is being brutal then no one can really blame media , for saving lifes...
